We went in around 6:30 and it was busy for a Monday! The service staff were very friendly and interactive, and the food, as always, is fresh and amazing! We greatly appreciate the vegan options! The ambiance never disappoints here. Hands down the best Mediterranean food in the area!

If you like Mediterranean, Middle Eastern food here it is! My two favorites are the Falafel and the Curry. Get in the Falafel in a pita or wrap with some Tzatziki (yes, the tzatziki is great here) and be happy! The Curry comes with rice and a side salad. Both the chicken and lamb are delicious! I should mention that they also serve breakfast, lattes, espresso, cappuccino, etc. With the surrounding neighborhood and college close by they do a lot of take out. Even with the high levels of take out orders the service is always good. Whether you get take out or dine in it is always good!

Shish serves really quality middle eastern food every time! I love the falafel and hummus bowl and the dolmas are excellent.

Delightful gyro sandwich...have had several times, and consistently delicious loaded with plenty of meat, tzatsiki, tomatoes and onions on Greek style pita. Yum. Baklava isn't that special though. The ambience is welcoming, beautiful and clean. Live this little area of Grand Ave, too.

Shish has been a favorite go to of mine for many years. I have never had a dish that has been disappointing. Every single time, my entries have arrived with overflowing portions and fresh ingredients. It is clear that the owner takes great pride and not only the quality of his meals, but the presentation. I would not be surprised if someone told me he personally hand pics every single vegetable that is used in the kitchen, that is fresh quality focused each meal is. Their garlic sauce is incredible and I often get the Mezza platter if I want a variety of fresh meal eastern appetizers. Their gyros are overflowing with tender meat and the pita bread is always pillowy, hot and fresh.

Went there on a gorgeous Sunday morning as from the reviews looked like they had sit down breakfast options. Beautiful place, great outdoor seating area. Plenty-ish street parking. Our server was very helpful and friendly providing suggestions and patiently answering our questions. The food itself was fantastic! I got so mesmerized by the food that totally forgot to take pics but I will definitely be back to try brunch/dinner options and will put pics out. If you are here for breakfast, make sure to try the rosemary potatoes and lamb bacon!

I went to Shish in the late summer after driving by the patio many times. The restaurant is small but has a fair amount of seating and has a young and fun feel. We ordered at the counter and the waitress quickly brought us out order outside. I ordered the fancy hummus and pita with chicken swarma and was amazed at how big the portion was. The flavors were unreal and the dish by itself was amazing. However, the pita really took this dish to the next level! Being able to scoop the delicious meat and flavorful humus into a soft and warm piece of pita was delicious! In knowing this isn't available all of the time, being able to sit outside was wonderful and really elevated the experience. The food is a bit on the expensive side but is DEFINITELY worth a try! o lo

Food 4/5. We ordered the Jerusalem Hummus, Falafel Burger Chicken Kebab Plate, Chai Latte and Red Tea. Everything was plated nicely, huge portion and tasted flavorful! Service 4/5 We went on a Sunday evening and it was very busy. Plus, they only had one employee in the front - super nice young man who took all dine in and phone orders, cleaned the tables, and brought us our foods. Props to him for being so quick and attentive. Once we ordered our food at the register and found a table, I was surprised at how quick the food came out. Every now and then the employee would check up on us... Water was self served too. Ambiance 3/5 Very comforting and home-like vibes. The glass lights added a nice Mediterranean touch with the natural lighting through the open window.

Food 4/5 - A cute neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant! My two favorite dishes were the traditional hummus and the steak on the feast combo. Personally, I don't think I would get the Roasted Vegetables Bowl again it was okay but lacked flavor. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - This is an order at the counter then sit down and wait type of restaurant. It wasn't very packed for a Saturday night and we got our food within a timely manner. The place was clean and well maintained.
